The Bal-sang revolves around the “Bal” (=foot), a readymade element borrowed from street vendors. The plastic mold represent a woman’s foot, chopped above the ankle and attached to a powerful magnet. The structure is made of punched metal in order to use the magnetic link to the feet. Bal-sang (발상), a mutation of a Pyong-sang (평상), the traditional Korean large bench, can be translated into IDEA. It is a table with feet: a multifunctional surface moving, crawling, dancing, walking, escaping.
