LOUIS QUATORZE

FLAGSHIP STORE AND SPACE CORPORATE IDENTITY


The Louis Quatroze project includes the renovation of the brand Flagship Store in Cheongdam-dong, a new Flower Academy located in the same building, and the Space Identity for all the Korean Deparment Stores’ booths.
The Flagship Store is conceived as a total built-in display, where customers, staff, bags and flowers move along a regular multi-layered space.
Each layer runs all around the shop, to define a clear stripes pattern, but functions vary: steps are turned into benches, displays into floors, acrylic lights into counters, shelves into sofas. Technology is used to enhance the customers’ experience: the main display for the bags is an airport-revolving belt, for the traveling ‘jet-set’, and the front window at dusk is turned into a projection screen.
The side windows are reduced in order to preciously frame the items displayed, offering an interesting glimpse of the interior atmosphere, while the facade on the main boulevard is inspired by Louis Quatorze brand identity pattern, and Louis XIV ancient logo: the Sun.

The project includes a new Flower academy located on the third floor. A plane of synthetic grass provides a space division. Under the grass students get their stability, over it they blossom with the fruits of new ideas. A system of curtains transforms the large room into two classrooms.

The project developed also the space identity guidelines, based on the Flagship Store features, for all the booths of Korean Department Stores: two samples of different size were produced, a large in Daegu and a medium in Seoul Lotte Myeong-dong.
패션 잡화 브랜드 루이까또즈의 플래그쉽 스토어 (본점) 디자인으로 플라워 샵과 동시에 사용하는 멀티 스페이스이다. 가죽과 아크릴, 거울 박스로 만들어진 레이어들이 방, 벤치, 디스플레이, 가구들을 형성하며 공간을 휘감고 쌓여있다.

그리고 새로운 스테이지를 만들어 고객을 새로운 레벨로 유도하며 제품을 접하게 했다. 입구에는 공항의 컨베이어벨트를 이용하여 여행을 많이 다니는 ‘jet족’고객들을 위해 이동하는 가방처럼 디스플레이 한다.

3층의 플라워 아카데미는 책상에 인조잔디를 깔아 잔디 밑에서 학생들은 편안함을 느끼고, 그 위에서 그들은 새로운 아이디어로 열매와 함께 꽃을 피울 것이다. 커튼은 두 개의 교실을 만들기도 하고 하나의 큰 교실로 변화시키는 가변벽 역할을 한다.
